Just picked our pups up after their latest stay and they are both happy and exhausted from the wonderful time they had. We've used Happy Tails to board our dogs for a number of years and have always been impressed with how they care for their boarders and provide them with the appropriate playmates to match their needs. Our 15 year old, slightly quirky Aussie gets to hang with the smaller pups (and they are so accommodating in giving her all of her meds!) and our 6 year old active, playful GSP gets to run to her heart's content with her dog buddies in the spacious, fenced open play areas. Our boy dog was too smart for his own good and had been turned away from previous places but Happy Tails gave him the space to roam and be himself. He'd always get excited when we mentioned his upcoming visit and he'd come back sufficiently tired. Our girl dog was blind and a lovebug and the staff let her chill with them which is all she wanted in life. Thank you Happy Tails!Posted on Google

I had rescued two high energy border collie Australian Shepherd mixes from a hoarding situation, and they really needed a lot of socialization and an energy outlet. Our first introduction was boarding them, and when I dropped them off, one had a thunder shirt on, that was no longer needed after their week stay. We’ve been boarding and doing doggy daycare twice a week now for the last three or so months, and the confidence that they both have now, as well as my confidence in their behavior, around other dogs and people has grown exponentially. When they’re home, they are relaxed and able to interact with my busy household in a non-destructive way, and days they are at daycare, they come home so tired, they often put themselves to bed. I am so thankful to have the support team of Paul, Tina, Charlie and Storey to give the pups the opportunity to be the most well-behaved and socialized dogs they can be!

Happy Tails has been our go-to for everything from long vacations to quick weekends away where our two dogs can't join. They even have come to the rescue for emergencies and watched our pups. One of our dogs is scared of everything and everyone but Happy Tails staff took their time, got to know him, worked with his quirks, and now our dog is so excited at every visit. Paul, Tina and their staff are so good with the dogs—ample play space & outdoor running room, the kennels are spacious (heated floors & air-conditioned). All of this in a country setting between Auburn & Enumclaw, WA. Our golden retriever boy, Conn, loves it! His dad and I highly recommend it for a safe and comfortable stay!

Miranda RoseJune 16, 2025Happy Tails has been a life saver! We are selling our house and needed a trust worthy place to keep our fur kids and have been so happy with our 4 dogs multiple stays. They were great with last minute changes, and scheduling was very easy. As a veterinary professional I loved that they require all the vaccinations and especially fecal testing which is SO important. The staff is so kind, they put a lot of care into the facility and the animals. It's been hard having the dogs stay away from home, but we have found a lot of comfort knowing they are in good hands.

Ensured my dog was up-to-date all vaccinations and fecal tested prior to allowing him for test night. Dog was happy to see me and taken well care of. Vincent VargheseJuly 5, 2021Trusted our dogs with Happy Tail this past month and it was their first time at any kennel. Happy Tails did incredible! One of our two dogs has severe people anxiety but the team were positive, patient, and caring. They suggested a trial night and took their time letting ‘Z’ warm up to them in his own time. After the trial and the full stay, when we came to pick the dogs up, Z was wagging his tail, running to them, and just a happy guy. With the space to socialize safely with other dogs, run around, and generally be comfortable, our dogs basically had their own vacation! Thanks team!Posted on Google
Claudia BridghamJanuary 27, 2021This is what a tired puppy looks like after a day at Happy Tails. Today, we introduced our seven month old GSP named Bullet to Happy Tails. We dropped him off in the morning... Paul took the time showing us his facility and operation. We had a very good impression and were excited for our pup to spent the day in doggy paradise . It’s great that the dogs get to play and socialize with each other all day in a wide range of spacious areas. During the day, Paul kept us updated how Bullet was getting along. After pick up, he gave us a quick recap of the day. When we got home, Bullet got a nice brush and immediately went into deep chill mode. A good dog is a tired dog! We’ll continue to bring our pup to Happy Tails. 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

Nick GNovember 10, 2020Was a relief while traveling to have our three dogs here. They have huge fenced fields for outdoor running and play. We left our dogs here for about a week and they were great at keeping communication via text message throughout the stay. They also provided videos/pictures of the dogs. Our dogs are picky eaters and one started refusing food and they worked with us to adjust their feeding and try different additives and things to get them to eat. They play area is outdoor with some coverings but this is western Washington so they came back honestly cleaner then we were expecting but definitely don't expect them to be spotless. Be realistic with your expectations and know your dogs are in good hands. Would love to have our dogs stay with them again in the future.Posted on Google

Nikki W.February 23, 2019Happy tails is the BEST option for pet boarding any animal. My dog is a bit timid at first of people and other animals. By the end of this vacation for him he was a whole new dog!! My dog absolutely loved happy tails. I know this because he was totally exhausted after this trip,I even think he missed the buddies he made. They have a HUGE Yard the dogs run around and play in,the floors are heated,they also offer beds,bedding,and treats all for the same price. Some kennels nickel and dime for every little thing and you don't even know if your pet gets what you pay for. The owner was so kind and sent us tons of pictures of our dog playing with other dogs. Very personable staff,very protective over every single animal that they take care of. With happy tails you get the BEST OF THE BEST!! It's the ritz Carleton of dog hotels!!Posted on Google
Barb ThorsnesJanuary 21, 2019Excellent.! we have 2 Rotweillers and they treated them like they're own. Anyone who knows Rottys know they are not shy. And you would be able to tell if they didn't have fun. I think our Female would have stayed there if she could. She played with the other dogs the whole time. Our male likes people more than dogs and they knew that so he stayed with the staff. Most of the time. They know how to handle our pups. And they are better dogs from the experience. I would highly recommend them. And anyone who knows Rotweiller owners know they're not shy either. Thanks again.Posted on Google

My dogs are always so excited to come here. - Everyone who works there genuinely loves dogs and makes sure the they get plenty of play and affection - I get to see photos of my dogs having fun on Facebook! - All I need to bring is food. Michelle S.December 13, 2016I can't say enough good things about Happy Tails. Paul and his staff take excellent care of my 8 month old pup Rudy. He knows when he's headed to daycare and when he hears Paul's voice I no longer exist! The dogs are grouped by size and get to run with their pack in a beautiful country setting that's very secure. Your dog will always have someone keeping a watchful eye on them and will never be left unattended with their pack. They go inside for nap time in a spotless kennel area. Rudy has so much fun and has become very well socialized as a result of his time here. They also provide overnight boarding...I don't think Rudy even missed me! They truly understand how dog packs work and take the time to understand your dogs personality. Huge spaces for the dogs to roam, smell, and have fun with other dogs. My dog has always been exhausted after his visit. I come all the way from downtown Tacoma to board my dog. Definitely the best place I've found for boarding.Posted on Google
MichaelDecember 21, 2013After a terrible experience with hobodog in Bonney Lake I found Happy Tails in Enumclaw. Upon arrival to check the place out I notice large fields of grass for dogs to run and play in, nicely separated to keep the big dogs with the big dogs, and the little ones with the little ones. They were happy to show me the inside of the facility so I could see where my rottweiler Zeus would be sleeping. The inside was modern and clean. Each dog has a good sized kennel for when they're not playing. When Zeus stays there, one of the workers often times takes pictures of the dogs playing and posts them on Facebook. It's nice to see while I'm gone that Zeus gets to have some fun with other dogs. I can tell that the workers at Happy Tails are responsible people and love their dogs. Bam A.January 18, 2013So happy to find this place! We were really worried about leaving our pup somewhere while we were on vacation. We looked around and a lot of places have kennels or they required our dog to be neutered (which we are holding out on for a few more months) It's right down the street from my parents house and typically I park the car there when we fly out of town. Anyways, every one was really nice on the phone. I love that you only pay per night and there's not a frantic struggle to get him picked up or dropped off by a certain time, we got to pick our own times beforehand! We were not the ones to drop him or pick him up, family/friends did that for us. But when he got picked up, my buddy said he was very sad to leave and when he got to his house, he waited by the car as if he wanted to be taken back to happy tails! I called at the end of his first day to check in. They were so happy to explain how he was doing and which dogs he was playing with. It really put my mind at ease and helped me enjoy my vacation! Rates are great!! Definitely will go back for overnights and may do daycare when we are in Enumclaw for family functions. Happy Tails was recommended by more than one professional. We could not be more happy witih the entire layout and service from Happy Tails. We travel frequently and often have extended stay needs. Our dog JoJo is somewhat picky with who gets to take care of him and not only does he LOOOVEEE Paul and Tina but he loves the other dogs. For the first time I can go on vacation and not worry AND get updates via email from Paul or Tina. These guys are fantastic and have a fan for life. Barbara R.October 4, 2008I have used Happy Tails twice for my Bichon. He loves having a big field to run in and doesn't worry about big dogs chasing him...he is in with like sized, minded peers. I took him out and picked him up the first time. The second time they picked him up and brought him home after I returned from my busness trip. I found the pick up and delivery excellent service and timely. They have nice kennels set up inside a remodeled barn with under floor heating and all is very clean. Check them out.
